My first class of Assistive Technology 1 could not have happened without a bit of my own AT. Having no idea of how to get to the class, I consulted google maps which gave me fine written and visual directions to the Teachers Center. I arrived quickly and without incident although I was dismayed to find I was an hour early and regretted the half hour of missed Saturday AM sleep-in time.

The first lesson, on Blogging, proved challenging for me as my husband is an avid blogger and used both our email addresses. I later received a tense and condescending lesson on how to set up an email account from my 14 year old son. I think I am good to go now.

My Speech Language Pathologist gave me a handy web sight that might be of interest to you. ELR  is a program which is about $200. per year but it is good for any number of students. I like it because it provides a variety of lang. exercises for beginning readers/spellers and those having difficulty acquiring lang. skills. It is very specific but you can customize the exercises for your students. You can get a free trial for a week. Mine has expired.
